1. Agreement to Terms

These Terms of Service ("Terms") constitute a legally binding agreement between you ("you" or "User") and LocoLingua ("we," "us," or "Company") governing your access to and use of the LocoLingua platform and services (the "Service").

By accessing or using our Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not access or use the Service.

2. Description of Service

LocoLingua provides an AI-powered localization platform that helps developers translate their applications. Our Service includes:

  • Connecting to your code repositories (GitHub, GitLab, Bitbucket, etc.)
  • Automatically detecting and extracting translatable content
  • Generating AI-powered translations in multiple languages
  • Creating pull requests with translated content
  • Managing translation workflows and overrides

3. Account Registration

To use our Service, you must create an account. You agree to:

  • Provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration
  • Maintain and promptly update your account information
  • Keep your password secure and confidential
  • Accept responsibility for all activities under your account
  • Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account

You must be at least 16 years old to create an account and use our Service.

4. Repository Access and Permissions

When you connect a repository to LocoLingua, you grant us permission to:

  • Access and read files in your connected repositories necessary for providing translation services
  • Create branches and pull requests on your behalf
  • Commit translated files to your repositories

You represent and warrant that you have the authority to grant these permissions for any repository you connect to our Service. You are responsible for ensuring that your use of LocoLingua complies with any agreements you have with third-party repository hosting services.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any illegal purpose or in violation of any laws
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems or other users' accounts
  • Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service
  • Use the Service to transmit malware, viruses, or other harmful code
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of our Service
  • Use automated means to access the Service except through our official APIs
  • Resell or redistribute the Service without our written consent
  • Use the Service in any manner that could damage, disable, or impair our systems

6. Intellectual Property

6.1 Our Intellectual Property

The Service, including its original content, features, and functionality, is owned by LocoLingua and is protected by international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. Our trademarks and trade dress may not be used without our prior written consent.

6.2 Your Content

You retain all ownership rights to your code and content. By using our Service, you grant us a limited license to access, process, and translate your content solely for the purpose of providing the Service.

6.3 Translations

AI-generated translations created through our Service are owned by you. You may use, modify, and distribute these translations as you see fit.

7. Payment Terms

Certain features of our Service require payment. By subscribing to a paid plan, you agree to:

  • Pay all fees associated with your selected plan
  • Provide accurate and complete billing information
  • Authorize us to charge your payment method on a recurring basis

Fees are non-refundable except as expressly set forth in these Terms or as required by law. We reserve the right to change our pricing with 30 days' notice.

8. Service Availability

We strive to maintain high availability but do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free. We may temporarily suspend the Service for maintenance, updates, or other reasons without prior notice.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

We do not warrant that AI-generated translations will be accurate, complete, or suitable for any particular purpose. You are responsible for reviewing and validating translations before use in production.

10. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL LOCOLINGUA, ITS DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, PARTNERS, AGENTS, OR AFFILIATES BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, USE, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, RESULTING FROM:

  • Your access to or use of (or inability to access or use) the Service
  • Any conduct or content of any third party on the Service
  • Any content obtained from the Service
  • Unauthorized access, use, or alteration of your transmissions or content
  • Errors, inaccuracies, or omissions in translations generated by the Service

Our total liability for any claims under these Terms shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.

11. Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless LocoLingua and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including attorneys' fees) arising out of or related to your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any rights of a third party.

12. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your access to the Service immediately, without prior notice or liability, for any reason, including breach of these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the Service will immediately cease.

You may terminate your account at any time by contacting us or using the account deletion feature in your settings. Upon termination, we will delete your account data in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

13. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will provide notice of material changes by posting the updated Terms on our website and updating the "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the Service after changes become effective constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.

14. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

15. Dispute Resolution

Any disputes arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service shall first be attempted to be resolved through good-faith negotiation. If the dispute cannot be resolved through negotiation within 30 days, either party may pursue binding arbitration or file a claim in small claims court.

16. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is held to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.

17. Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and LocoLingua regarding the Service and supersede all prior agreements and understandings.
